Night assaults on the fridge are with me everyday, so every innovation in this area has my culinary aspirations. All the more so when the student capable of Massey University has removed the final boundary between me and the food, the refrigerator door.

The revolutionary design of the Electrolux contest not only gets rid of the door, but it changes the nature of the fridge itself. In this case, we are dealing with "bone-wall" consisting of hexagonal modules. This allows fridge freezes only where there is a food product, which significantly reduces the pradozernosc device.

The author of the concept and the prototype is Ben de la Roche. The idea that inspired the project was (apart from energy efficiency) visibility of all chilled products. End of buried kabanosami year!

A big plus is to attach a device to existing technology, which brings the idea to practical implementation. Most of the projects presented at the competition Electrolux brand goes quite far in the future. Interestingly, although Impress (so called this fridge) is today considered a groundbreaking project, the academics did not appreciate efforts of Mr. de la Roche, and put him in classes B +!
